Dovestone "Off the Beaten Track"

Join UProjects for a walk around the beautifull Dovestone area of the  Chew Valley.

This is walk number 3 of the 2018  UCrew Outdoor Health Project, providing progression walks and advice in a build up to achieving The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge Walk in July.  Delivered by UProjects qualified leaders and supported by Oldham Council`s Environmental Services

Meet at the Tanners Mill Car Park from 09:45 for a 10:00 start.

This lovely 8.5 mile route will take us "Off the beaten track" with lovely views all round through pine forest, beneath towering quarries and visiting the 3 reservoirs in the area.

The walk is approximately 8.5 miles with 1,200 ft of ascent , a reasonable level of fitness is required

Some stiles are encountered

Under 16`s need to be accompanied by an adult

Walkers are responsible for their level of fitness and health condition. 

Can be boggy in places! 

Wear suitable clothing for the weather and appropriate footwear. Additional layers, hat, gloves, water and a snack are best carried in a small rucksack.
