Everyone arrived fully invigorated and happy after the walk - jog - run at the Dovestone Sailing Club area where we were met by the friendly team from Ability Wheelz - Denise, Kevin and Gary who equipped us with appropriate bike and helmets for our 3 mile bike ride around the Dovestone reservoir. And following a quick safety briefing, we were off!!

We had great feed back at the end of the first day of outdoor activities at the lovely Dovestone area and the ladies boarded the minibus with Jo and Trish and onward to their Yoga session.

Day 2 Nordic Walking

Sunday, and rain ! But not to be deterred, the ladies arrived at Uppermill Sport Centre to commence their Nordic Walking session. After a brief introduction to Nordic Walking - history, benefits and technique we were off to explore Uppermill via the canal, the steep Ladcastle Road and Millgate Quarry.

The Nordic Walk to the top of Millgate Quarry is quite a strenuous hilly part of the weekend’s activities but everyone moved together and supported one another, arriving with atmospheric views of Uppermil and the cloud swept hills beyond.
